ENG100: Introduction to English – This course provides an introduction to English grammar and speaking English in the context of learning about locations, feelings, days and celebrations, travel, and personal goals. At completion of level, students are able to understand: basic greetings and phrases, simple questions about themselves, very short dialogues, numbers, prices, times, and short simple directions.

 ENG101: Basic English – Instruction in English grammar and speaking English, utilising audio, speaking and written exercises, in the context of learning about people, possessions, daily activities, the work environment, etc. At completion of level, learners should be able to read, speak and write to: manage simple routine exchanges, identify topics or information in a discussion, handle simple business within a community; understand directions, extract essential information from recorded passages, understand main point in short, clear messages and announcements.

 ENG102: Becoming Familiar English – Upon completion of level, learners should be able to understand speech and writing on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc., understand main point of TV programmes with familiar topics when delivery is slow and clear.
